The brand that unites the tourist programs of the local administrations of the province will participate from November 21 to 24 in Valladolid at the XXIII International Indoor Tourism Fair.The event, which brings together 310 exhibitors, receives 45,700 travelers in search of destination and more than 17,000 accredited professionals worldwide in 16,000 square meters of exhibition.
Led by the Provincial Council of Palencia and the City Council of the capital, the program includes twelve other municipalities of the rural environment, six centers of tourism initiatives and other entities of the sector.The objective is to group all the Palencia tourist agents who want to market products and services in the exhibition space within an international reference fair in inland tourism.
The City Council of Palencia focuses its tourism proposal on the digital presence, the gastronomic and coffee city, the musical offer, the commitment to culture and the revaluation of traditions. The municipal strategy is to show initiatives and resources of proven success, with the incorporation of new proposals to make that leap that tourism needs in the city.The central act to promote the offer of Palencia will be held on Thursday 21, with the presentation of the main developments and the participation of those responsible for Provincial and City Council .
The Provincial Council and the City Council of Palencia, under the Palencia Tourism brand, return once again to join forces for the XXIII International Indoor Tourism Fair (INTUR) that will begin this Thursday, November 21, and that for four days will show all the offer of resources and tourist services of Palencia in the Fair Institution of Valladolid.
The president of the Diputación, Ángeles Armisén; the mayor of Palencia, Mario Simón; the Councilor for Tourism of the capital of Palencia, Laura Lombraña; as well as the provincial deputy of the area of Culture, Tourism and Sports, Carolina Valbuena; and the provincial deputy of the Tourism service, Francisco Pérez Castrillo, today presented at a press conference the main lines of the presence in this fair.
The presence of the Palencia Tourism brand will include the tourist promotion of the Diputación and the City Council of Palencia, but also that of other tourist agents in the province - town halls, tourist initiative centers, associations ... - thanks to an exhibition space that exceeds 122 square meters in the form of an island four streets from the fairground, different spaces, an area that will be distributed in four areas: information, presentations, co-exhibitors and multimedia space.
A hanging ceiling of great visual impact and an audiovisual wall with large LED screen will be the highlights of the exhibitor, which will host presentations, live cooking, tastings, exhibitions, dances, theater, medieval music ... All this in order to show the tourist offer of Palencia to the visiting public and professionals of the sector and the possibilities of the province as a destination for the traveler. In addition, the little ones will have a great prominence during the weekend, with the celebration of children's workshops for the elaboration of Roman mosaics and a Roman photo booth, which will delight children who visit the fair and show the possibilities of Palencia as a destination Family tourist.
The objective is to invite, through spectacular experiences and images, to visit Palencia and to enjoy its nature, its heritage, its cultural events or the sporting events that take place in the Palencia geography. On the other hand, the Diputación will facilitate to several businessmen of the tourist sector of the province its assistance to Intur Negocios, part of the fair in which work meetings are held to commercialize tourist offers and products.
