6000 tourists visited the cultural resources of Diputacion de Palencia at Easter.

The Roman Villa La Olmeda was the most visited resource with nearly 2500 tourists.

The vast  majority  of the tourists came from Castilla y León, Madrid and the Basque Country. The most visited resource has once again been the Roman villa La Olmeda, with almost 2,500 registered entries. The Tourist Office has served a total of 2,869 users, of which 31.65% came from Madrid; 17.83% from the Basque Country; 12.03% from Castilla y León. The Cueva de los Franceses, the boats, and the visits to the Provincial Palace, to the historical complexes and to Palencia in Tres Rutas hung the no ticket sign.

Around 6,000 people have visited and enjoyed the tourist and cultural resources of the Diputación de Palencia during this Holy Week, to which must be added the almost 3,000 users who have attended the Tourist Office.

Practically all the available places in the different resources have been fully occupied from Friday the 31 st of March  to Easter Sunday, 

On holy Friday was the day with the most visitors in all the resources. Most of the tourists came from Castilla y León, Madrid and the Basque Country.

The Roman villa La Olmeda has  been again  the most visited with almost 2,500 registered entries. Most of the visitors came from Castilla y León, followed by travelers from Madrid, the Basque Country, Catalonia, Galicia and Asturias. 44 foreigners were counted.

The Fuentes de Valdepero Castle was visited by  531 visitors who enjoyed  this historical fortress, most of them from our own province, the Basque Country, Madrid, Galicia and Valladolid. Of the total, 8 were from outside our country.

La Cueva de los Franceses, which yesterday still remained exceptionally open to the public, has registered 1,277 visitors. The highest percentage of visitors were from Castilla y León (45.73% of the total), 18.87% traveled from the Community of Madrid and 11.12% from the Basque Country. The next most significant data is that of Extremadurans (4.46%).

The Juan de Homar Ship, also open today to the public in an exceptional way, added 796 visitors of which 30.28% were from Castilla y León, 22.61% from Madrid and 18.47% from the Basque Country.

The Marqués de la Ensenada Ship accounted for 688 passengers. 37.50% from Castilla y León, 22.24% from Madrid, 19.04% from the Basque Country and 6.54% from Asturias.

Regarding the guided visits to the Provincial Council, there were 157 people who visited the Provincial Palace, mainly from Palencia, Madrid, the Basque Country and Cantabria.

Palencia in three routes was carried out by 36 people, mainly from Palencia, Madrid, Andalusia and the Basque Country, while the Historical Ensembles activity brought together 64 people, also mostly from Palencia, Madrid, the Basque Country, Cantabria and Galicia.

It should be mentioned that both visits to historical complexes and Palencia on three routes have been in great demand, registering a full house. 

It should be noted that the Tourist Office has served a total of 2,869 users, of which 31.65% came from Madrid; 17.83% from the Basque Country; 12.03% from Castilla y León; 8.14% from Andalusia and 6.58% from Catalonia. The tourist offices of the province have also registered a large influx of public, as well as tourist establishments, which are always a fundamental point of information for tourists.

Finally, do not forget about the autocaravans throughout the province, mainly foreigners. Nationally, they came from the Basque Country and Andalusia (Malaga and Seville).
